LEEDS STEAMPUNK MARKET 5th & 6th October 2013
The last Leeds Steampunk Market was once again a curated event (a curated event means traders have been hand picked and invited to take a stall) and was held at the Armley Mill on Canal Road.
Our trading times were the same as their opening times which are Saturday 10:00 am – 5:00 pm and Sunday 12:00–5:00 pm and was held at Armley Mills, Leeds Industrial Museum, Canal Road, Armley, Leeds, West Yorkshire LS12 2QF. This is an interactive event, with traders mixed in with the Mill Museum exhibits. Jack the Loco was running on the Saturday and the mill engine on the Sunday. There was a steampunk film festival and entertainment in the 1920s cinema. (Emilie the Steampunk Belly Dancer was on the Saturday and Dancers Bizarre on the Sunday.)Christian Gllghr (Under Your Skin Photography) is LSM’s official photographer ran a photo booth in of the rooms which resulted in some amazing shots. Miss Poppy's Teaparties ran the cafe selling vintage style afternoon tea with cakes and sandwiches The whole place is a public museum and customers paid admission to the Industrial Museum and their admission prices are: adults (aged over 16) £3.40 concession (if you are dressed up!) £1.80 age 5-16 £1.25 family ticket (up to 2 adults + 3 kids) £6.70 ( I will be putting names to the photos at some point!) |
